Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees Names Amanda Chadney as Principal of Santa Rita Elementary School
The Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Amanda Chadney as the new principal of Santa Rita Elementary School, following her service as assistant principal on the campus since 2022.
Chadney brings nearly two decades of experience in public education and a strong track record of supporting student success, strengthening campus systems, and building positive school culture. Her experience spans classroom instruction, behavior intervention, curriculum development and campus administration, giving her a well-rounded perspective on student achievement and school leadership.
Since joining Santa Rita Elementary as assistant principal, Chadney has played an integral role in leading campus operations, supporting instructional excellence, strengthening student behavior systems, and partnering closely with teachers and families. Her leadership has included implementing restorative practices and proactive student support systems, coaching and evaluating instructional staff, and helping guide strategic campus initiatives aligned with district goals.
Prior to serving as assistant principal, Chadney worked in Liberty Hill ISD as a behavior interventionist and physical education teacher. She also served in Round Rock ISD and Beaumont ISD and contributed to statewide curriculum work as a physical education curriculum writer.
Chadney earned her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University and her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at Austin. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for excellence in education, including multiple Teacher of the Year nominations.
Her husband Josh works for David Weekley Homes, and together they have two boys in Liberty Hill Schools. Grayson will be starting 10th grade and Gavin will be entering eighth grade in the fall. Outside of school Chadney enjoys spending time with her family and their energetic dog, Addie, watching and cheering on sports teams and spending time outdoors.
“I am excited and honored to serve as the next principal of Santa Rita Elementary School,” said Chadney. “Santa Rita is a special place filled with amazing students, dedicated staff, supportive families, and a strong tradition of excellence. Having served this community as the assistant principal for the past four years, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue building on the strong foundation already in place while supporting every student, empowering our staff, and partnering with families to ensure all children thrive.”
Congratulations, Mrs. Chadney, as we welcome you to your new role!
